Halloween Jam 2019

Halloween Jam 2019 - Dirty Habits

Remaining true towards established Dirty Habits traditions, this year’s Halloween Jam had to live up to high expectations. Since the previous years of dress up kiteboarding have been some of the Dirtiest days in our history, this year’s event was set to be just as legendary. We see Halloween as a great opportunity (or excuse.. one might say) to go kiting in crazy clothes with a good amount of alcohol intus.

On a Sunday with a promising forecast, we started the day off in the Mystic House at Doodles. From giraffes, old weird ladies and a creepy balloon kid to switched gender roles, everybody from the Dirty Crew showed up in creative costumes and a good mood. After a couple of beers and fully covered in flour, we headed down to Dolphin to session in a proper 3m swell. The waves didn’t disappoint and neither did the sends and crashes. The “best dressed” award along with a six-pack of beer went to Gijs, who was dressed as the Joker. Three American video guys (the Dirty Marketing Project), Fran from SoCoMunity and the interns were capturing everything that went down on camera. After the kite session, the party continued back at the Mystic House, some new movies premiered in front of a huge crowd and we rounded up the night at Pakaloco. Overall, safe to say this event was the perfect way to start into summer and already gave us a pre-taste of the craziness that is about to go down the next weeks.
